Our festival site is 500-block Columbia Street and neighbouring streets in Chinatown

The festival is free for all to attend!

While Light Up Chinatown! does not offer on-site parking, there is an EasyPark parking complex less than a minute walk away located in Chinatown Plaza at 106 Keefer Street. Metered street parking is also available.

500-block Columbia St will be closed to traffic, while Keefer and East Pender Streets will remain open for cars and public transit. Please be mindful of detours.⁠

Public Transit

SkyTrain: The festival site is a 10-minute walk away from Stadium-Chinatown Station and Main Street-Science World station.

Bus: The 19, 22, 3, and 8 buses stop at the intersection of Pender and Main St.

Yes! Light Up Chinatown! is suitable for all ages with activities for everyone to enjoy.

​​Yes, Light Up Chinatown! is an outdoor event and will proceed rain or shine. If necessary, check the weather forecast and come prepared with appropriate attire such as sunscreen, hats, umbrellas, and rain jackets.

Safety continues to be a top priority for the festival. In light of last year’s festival, the Vancouver Police Department is providing additional foot patrol officers around the neighbourhood, and there will be increased security measures in and around the festival grounds. All guests will be subject to search for prohibited and illicit items upon entry in the interest of public and patron safety.
